Allow myself to introduce… myself
I was born and raised in Moscow, Russia. Growing up I would spend most of the day being active outside but never played or did competitive sports. My favorite activity as a child was hide and seek games that lasted hours, spanned the area of a block and included all the children from the apartment complex that I lived in.

At the age of 14 my family made a move to Canada.  I left behind all my friends, culture, and half of my family. I had to learn a new language, make new friends, and adjust to a new society. The experience was challenging at times but it allowed me to grow into the independent and strong willed person that I am today.

Near the end of my high school graduating year, I was offered a full athletic scholarship to Central Michigan University (CMU). After a year at CMU, I made a decision to return to Canada, and finish my studies at University of Western Ontario, where I obtained my Bachelor Degree in Health Science with Honors in Kinesiology.

I discovered the sport of fitness after completing my studies. Being part of this sport gives me an opportunity to test my will power, push my athletic abilities and meet the most incredible people out there; I can’t imagine my life without it.

Fitness is one of my biggest passions and through it I hope to inspire and motivate people to be healthier, more active, and live their life to the fullest.

What’s your favorite time of the day? Taking my dog for a run in the early mornings. It’s our time together and a time for me to let my mind go free.

What’s you favorite workout?
Plyometrics training with my personal trainer Tommy Caldwell.  It’s intense, explosive and at times makes me feel like I am going to throw up.  I love it because at the end of the session I know I pushed by limits.

What is your diet like during competitive season? Unlike most fitness athletes I do not have an off-season and on-season diets. I don’t believe in dieting.  I believe in healthy clean eating which is a part of my lifestyle all year round. Some of my favorite foods are apples, sushi and nuts, but I have a soft spot for milk chocolate.

What motivates you? Goals. I always have goals that I work toward achieving. And being told, “it can’t be done”; that always fires me up!

What is the best part of fitness? Being and feeling healthy inside and out.

What do you do in your free time? I love photography. Most of my free time is spent photographing a variety of events, people and places. I also love to travel to countries that teach me more about life than our society has to offer.

What are your goals in life? Outside of leaving my mark in the fitness industry I aspire to become a photographer, and to continue traveling the world.

What advice would you give to someone who is considering competing in fitness? Believe in yourself!!! No one else has the power to make it happen but you.
